Our TK class was looking fabulous at the pumpkin patch in their custom tie-dye t-shirts. It was another terrific year that the Northcoast Co-op Pumpkin Patch!

On Saturday, September 29th AES student, Tyler, participated in Cubing in the Redwoods at Eureka High. This event is Humboldt County's first speedcubing competition. Competitors raced the clock in a variety of events featuring Rubik's Cubes and more. Read on for more information.

There are many items in our Lost and Found. Please check the rack in the cafeteria and our new coat hooks outside room 11. Each month we donate many unclaimed items. Please label clothing and lunch bags to help us reunite items with their owners.

We have an amazing office staff at AES that helps keep our school running smoothly. Petra and Cindy greet everyone with a smile! Thank you both for all your hard work!

Our TK - first grade students met with fire fighters and learned about fire safety, like Stop! Drop! Roll!

Today was the first of two field trips to the North Coast Co-op Pumpkin Patch. It was a beautiful day to pick the perfect pumpkin! Check out more pictures on our website.

Our school partners with HSU to bring math tutors into the classroom. The aspiring teachers are working with our students to create math games using numeric form, word form, expanded form, unit form, and pictorial form to write and say numbers up to the millions.

We added a fifth tetherball station for students who want to learn to play tetherball. Students can practice with other students at their skill level without feeling overwhelmed. The new station has been very well received by students.

Many fifth grade students are learning to play instruments with Mrs. Cherry. Students are learning violin, trumpet, saxophone, flutes, clarinets and more!

Our recess staff will be wearing neon safety vests to help students quickly identify adults who can help them.
