We had a fabulous start to the school year! It's great to see all of our AES families after the summer break. Check out our First Day Pictures in our our Event Photos page of the school website.

Our staff has returned from summer break and are preparing for the new school year. Today our dedicated teaching staff is in all day professional development workshops. Everyone is looking forward to our new school year. See you on Tuesday, August 28th!

In accordance with Education Code 60119, the following public
hearing is to be posted at least ten (10) days in advance. This Public Hearing will be held during the Regular September Meeting of the Arcata School District Board of Trustees.

TIME: 6:30 pm
The public is invited to attend this public hearing/board meeting. Please contact the Superintendent or your school site Principal if you have questions regarding textbooks/instructional materials provided.

Class Lists will be posted on Monday, August 27th at 4:30 pm.

Check out our fabulous ad in the just-published 2018 Fall Activity Guide for the Arcata Recreation Division. Not only are we in there but there are so many fun activities for families.

The 4th and 5th grade teachers have been attending the Create Humboldt art grant workshop. They have been learning about art engagement for students and student projects. Check out the squirrel art Ms. Reis created!

It's almost time for the first day of school! Our school office will reopen On August 15th. The office will be open for regular hours: Monday - Friday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. You can pick up a registration form at our office or download them from our website. School begins on Tuesday, August 28th.

Our 4th and 5th grade teachers are participating in a multi-year art grant, Create Humboldt. The teachers are attending a two-day professional development workshop and it's super fun! We can't wait to see the students create and learn more about art this school year.
