Family Movie Night Is Back!

The K-Kids is hosting a Family Movie Night on Friday, February 28. The doors open at 6:00pm and the movie starts at 6:15pm. The film is FREE. Snacks and beverages are available to purchase and all proceeds will go toward K-Kids Service Projects.

Don't forget to bring a comfortable chair or blanket. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Foggy Bottom Milk Run

Join our AES Bobcat Running Team!

Students are invited to join the team and participate in the 2020 Foggy Bottom Fun on Sunday, March 8th. Registration forms are available at school. The team will meet at 1:15pm in the parking lot of the US Bank (corner of Ocean and Main).

Each student participant is $12 and the deadline for the school registration is Wednesday, Feb. 12th. Parents are encouraged to participate and sign up to be a chaperone to walk/run with the team.

Dictionaries from the Sunrise Rotary

Thursday, January 26th the Arcata Sunrise Rotary presented all of the third grade students with their own dictionary. A dictionary is a fabulous tool for a student and both third grade classes will be learning how to use the dictionary in class.

Thank you, Sunrise Rotary, for coming to AES each year!

Minimum Days January 21- 23

AES will be dismissing students at 1:15 pm on Tuesday 1/21, Wednesday 1/22, and Thursday 1/23. Student that ride the bus will be home 90 minutes earlier than usual.

5th Grade Parents! Are you ready to think about middle school next year?

In 6 months you'll have a 6th grade student! Now's the time to check out the Sunny Brae Middle School program for the 2020-2021 school year.

The SBMS Information Night will be held in the SBMS Library on January 9th from 6:00-7:00pm. It's a great opportunity to meet the principal, Becky MacQuarrie, and ask questions.
